小丑鱼 Clown Fish

小丑鱼，英文名称是clown fish又或者比较商业化的Nemo。你们知不知道怎样可以分辨出哪一只是公的，哪一只是母的吗？
How could you differentiate a clown fish's sex?

刚才看了一个台湾节目，叫做大特写，里头有着这么一个解释。它说在一群小丑鱼当中，总会有一只最大只的鱼，它呢，就是母的啦！而第二大只的就是公的啦！其他体积明显小很多的就是无生殖能力或者还没有性别之分的啦！
In a school of clown fish, the one with LARGEST size is the female. The second larger will be the male. The rest much smaller size will be waiting for their chance to have sex! haha....

听到一头雾水吗？没关系，我一开始也是捉不到球。总之，在一群小丑鱼里头，只有两只是负责交配和繁殖下一代的，而小丑鱼有一个过人之处就是它们可以变性。对！它们可以从公变母，又或者从母变公。很天然的一个本能，完全不需要动手术。所以呢，渴望变性的人们，早日投胎变小丑鱼吧！哈哈！
A clown fish has ability to transform its sex. Meaning it can be male this second, and female the next second.

至于这个”变性“论是怎么说呢？还是从一群鱼开始说起，如果你把最大只的小丑鱼给拿走，那么第二大只的公鱼就会进化成母的小丑鱼啦！而其中一只体积较小的就会“升职”成为第二把交椅啦！听得明白没有？简单来说就是在一群的小丑鱼里面，它们永远都会一对公婆鱼，确保繁殖生态不会受到影响。
It happened when, let says we took away the LARGEST fish, then the second LARGEST fish will change its sex from male to female. Then among the rest of the smaller size, one of them will "promoted" to take over the vice-president seat. So that they make sure in their circle, there is always a pair of them who can produce more eggs.

A clown fish lays eggs twice a month. And the babies need 7 days to get out of the egg.
