Earth Hour

Can you stay without any electricity for 1 hour?

Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

It was first introduced in Sydney 2 years ago. Sydney was the only participant at that time.

This year, you are invited to do so. When? This Saturday 28 March 2009, 8:30PM local time, wherever you live on planet earth.

不知可不可以开冷气呢?如果可以,单单关灯对global warming有几大的帮助呢?

我想在这一个小时里,除了关灯,也不要开车。哪里都不去,坐在家里吹风扇就好。
